MOM

First of all this is Tiffany, and second of all my mom doesn't know I'm doing this, and might not for a while, but i just figured this would be a good way to tell her how much i love her. I know i know mothers day is still a few days away but why not get an early start. My mom means the world to me. She is my best friend. She is the one i ask questions like; Does my hair look ok? Is what i have on ok? Can I go out with friends? It's always about me. . . I rarely take the time to see what she has going on or to listen to her and her needs. And the crazy thing about it is she never complains. . I watch her and think how can she do it all?! She has 6 well 7 kids to worry about right now, a busy body three year old, four teenagers and two talkative girls, one husband like twenty loads of laundry of more a week, meals, house cleaning, calling, and then she needs her time which ends up being the twenty minutes she goes tanning. Mom, i don't tell you enough how much I appreciate you. Thank you for all the times you have left me a note telling me you loved me, cleaning up my room, taking me on little day dates and the list goes on. I don't think that words can express the gratitude i feel for you! As the time for me to leave home is getting closer and closer, I am not sure that I can leave you. Who will be the one to comfort me, or to laugh with me, or cry with me? You are an amazing women. If i grow up to be half the mom, half the wife, half the women you are i will be well off! Thank you for helping me strengthen my testimony, thank you for teaching me how to take care of a home. Mom I love you so much! i hope you have a wonderful mothers day, Love your daughter Tiffany

Springtime

I love springtime. I always think that the fall is my favorite, well I still think it is but, there is just something about the springtime that I so love! Could it be my birthday is in the spring, or maybe because my wedding anniversary is in the spring, or it could be because of mothers day?

I had such a good time for my birthday yesterday. I was thinking about the day last night as I went to bed, and thought about all the people that gave birthday wishes, or that I spent time with. I love you all. I felt so much love. My family treats me like a queen, but yesterday they really out did themselves. It was nothing over the top, just their thoughtfulness and the love that I felt from them. My friends, my extended family, my kids friends, my husband! A big thank you!

I do know for sure I love spring because it is EASTER! I love the thought of EVERYTHING coming to life again. As my thoughts have been on my SAVIOR so much this week, I can't help but be grateful for his life, his death, and then of course the Resurrection. I loved all of general conference! It was so good. I think the best talk was Brother Holland's. I love him, I love to listen to him talk. His talk on Christ was so good.

This week for our scripture study we have done the last week of Christ's life. Shea assigned each one of us a day. We study it and then talk about it on that day. It has been wonderful to hear the kids testimony of how they feel about their Savior. Tiffany did such a good job yesterday, and then Derek and Justin had this morning. They are great teachers, and I can feel their spirit as they give us what they have learned. I love that they talk about the things they learn about in seminary. I am looking forward to hear Jordan and Aubry do their day also. And then Melany and I have Sunday! I am so thankful that I have the gospel of Jesus Christ in my life.

Funny Kamy

The other day my Mom and Dad came over for Sunday dinner. And this is the conversation that my mom and Kamy had

Grandma: Kamy did you go to church today

Kamy: Yes

Grandma: Are you still in nursery?

Kamy: No, I'm home.

We went to the valley and while we were there we went to a movie, the whole time Kamy wanted to leave, about the last 10 min. of the movie she sat still and watched it, and as we were walking out she was giggling and slapping her leg saying "that the best show I eber seen." She had us all laughing.

I have my nephew living with us, and he had been here for a couple of weeks and then went and saw his family. He told his mom that Kamy is untouchable whatever she wants she gets! And that is a true statement, and it didn't take Justin to long to fit right in to her life. She has him wrapped around her little finger!

By the way I know I have 5 other children and I will try and blog about them too:)

This is Kamy and her friend Emma. Emma lives next door to us and they play so good together. It is so nice to call and ask if Emma can come and play and then we just watch for her to cross the fence and she is here. This was on February 6th Kamy's birthday.

Kamy LOVES Dora. She got Backpack and a Dora cake.

Charece, Tiffany and Melany ready to go the LOBO basketball game. It has been fun to watch the high school kids get so excited about their basketball team they really helped the LOBOS win some home games! There is nothing better than the sixth man!

Finding Joy

My lesson in Young Womens on Sunday was finding joy. I combined a couple of lessons the first one was Finding Joy in Our Divine Potential. Marie Caldwell came in and talked to the girls. She did such a great job, she is a wonderful person. The second one was Finding Joy Now. I was thankful to teach the lesson. I get so consumed with the thoughts of what is happening in the world that I often forget to think about the things that really bring me joy and that I need to think about and do those things that bring me joy.

As we talked with the young women, things like movies, books, shopping, playing sports, things like that that got brought up and then things like reading scriptures, prayer, service, doing callings, was talked about. The true joy is the reading and prayer, and things like that, but I also feel that doing just fun things that we enjoy is important too.

I love doing things that make me happy, like being with my kids when everyone is being funny and laughing until our sides hurt. I love it when Kamy comes and climbs in bed with me early (not to early)in morning and snuggles with me and says "lets kiss", I love watching a good movie that either makes me laugh or cry, I love going for a ride with my BFF Rhonda and getting a diet coke. I LOVE a HOT shower, I love spending time with my mom and dad cause I know they love company. I love watching my kids play sports or perform in anyway, I love being with my young women (these girls are extra special I truly love them), I LOVE being with my sisters (I can't wait for our weekend this month!)they make me laugh, they make me feel like I belong, I love them so much! But most of all I LOVE who I am married to. He is the very best part of me. Spending time with him makes me so happy I think it is because he spoils me. Other things that bring me joy: my house, food,(chocolate), good music, rain, warm sweater, feeling the spirit, scripture study with my family, doing my girls hair.
Watching my boys bless and pass the sacarment. Just to name a few.:)

Catching Up

Well, it has been such a long time since I have blogged that I am not sure how to do it anymore. Life is going by so fast that I forget to do some of the things that I love to do. Tiff has been bugging me about getting a post done, she even said she would lock me in the office so I would get it done. I think I could handle that if she would also take care of life outside of the office.

Kamy seems to sense when I sit at the computer because every time that I get started she needs something. Usually a snack or for me to put a puzzle together with her.

Anyway, life is still wonderful for us. We are busy following basketball games for Derek. He plays on J.V. and loves it. He plays great defense but struggles for every point he makes.(I think he is a head case) If you thought I was bad with Tiff and volleyball you should watch and hear Shea at Derek's basketball games. I love it!

Speaking of doing things that I love to do. I did something last weekend that I loved but I don't think I have ever done before. I went to the valley early Saturday morning BY MYSELF and went shopping with my SWEET sister ANN. I did no shopping for my husband or my family. I had some Christmas money that I bought clothes with and then I had some other funds that I bought some cute stuff for my house. I had so much fun! I think the best part was driving alone down there. It was peaceful, no kids talking or fighting or asking if we were almost there. It was foggy and just beautiful. I listened to wonderful music and totally enjoy myself. I think mom's need to do that once in awhile to get rejuvenated. Anyway it was great.

Well everyone is doing so good, Tiff is getting things set up to go to college, Derek is going to be in the play Oklahoma the school is putting on, Jordan is always busy with friends he did go snow boarding a couple of weeks ago and thinks he really likes it now. Aubry is playing basketball and doing so GOOD! She is amazing. Melany has been having some problems with her back but the physical therapist aka Bishop Lynn has been working on her. Kamy is ummmmm a mess but a total blast. She says and does some of the funniest things. And then Shea, he is the glue that keeps us all together. He is so good and kind to me, I don't know what I would do without him. He is my best friend.

Okay so that's the update I will try and do better.

Traditions

December 1st, the town lighting. Sometimes I feel like I live in Mayberry. I love the town lighting and the excitment and the feeling of Christmas. There is a wagon ride, displays of nativities, music, and SANTA. When we count down for the lights to come on and you look up and down our beautiful main street it is a feeling of excitment. We have never stood in line to see Santa before, but we did this year for Kamy. I will post a picture and you can decide how it went.

This is my neice Ashley and her cute little boy Koby

Caskie and Riker.

My cute family (they are getting so big)

Mom and Dad with my Dad's sister Anna Lou

And this is how the Santa thing went.

Poor Santa, he was so good and kind to her. The whole time up there I was telling her look how nice Santa is, I love Santa, are you excited to see Santa? I even asked her what are you going to say to Santa and she said "nice to meet you." I thought we were good to go, but no such luck she SCREAMED! On the way home she said "Me not like that guy."

All in all it was a very fun evening. We have a tradition that after the town lighting we go home and eat Italian food. It use to be just Shea and I and the kids but it has grown into much more. We had my parents and Shea's parents and my sisters and their kids, and their kids. It was a ton of fun!!! I love Traditions, sometimes I think that might be the only thing that will keep us going when times get hard. We will be able to look back on the good times and remember the love we have for each other and that they will be that way again! As the holidays get going we just want to wish everyone a happy season. ENJOY! Don't be to busy TO enjoy it. That goes for me too. Merry CHRISTmas!
