These are my cute little girls all dressed up for Halloween. Aren't they cute? We ratted Melany's hair. It was so BIG!! She is a cute witch! Then Kamy, you won't find a cuter LOBO. We took her to the football game with us and she was HOWLING and playing the part of a true LOBO! I am not a big fan of halloween, but we did have fun.

Jordan has loved animals and the whole idea of hunting for a very long time. We had a wonderful neighbor who also loves to hunt. He tried getting all the kids in the neighborhood to put in for a hunt so he could take them. Well we got lucky and Jordan got drawn. He was so excited to go. As the hunt got closer Eldon Blair (our neighbor) found out he couldn't go so he asked Joe Denhalter to take Jordan. We love Joe! He has been a good friend to Jordan. So Jord was just fine with that.

Well bright and early, okay not bright, the sun wasn't even up, anyway at about 4:30 Friday morning the 17th of October they left. Anyone that lives around here knows my father-in-law and that he has these life sized plastic horses. Joe stopped and showed Jord on one of them where to shoot the elk.

Shea calls me at about 6:30 saying that they were following a herd of elk. By 7:00 I had a picture of a dead elk on my phone. I called and was so shocked that he had already shot one. I could hear Joe in the back ground saying "good job Jordan, that was awesome" I asked Shea if Jordan was excited and he said he thought Joe was more excited than Jord. I think Jordan was like okay now what? I think it went to fast for him.

He shot almost exactly where Joe told him to. I think Joe was a little surprised that Jordan didn't freak out the first time out hunting and that he was calm and just shot the dang thing.

Now I have to make jerky, do I know how to do that? Anyway it has been a fun adventure. We are making a rug out of the hide. I am thankful that Eldon and Joe helped out so much! I think Shea really enjoyed it to. Derek seemed even a little jealous. I might have to make a lot of jerky if they all start hunting and get drawn.

The other day I was watching Aubry and Melany play cards. They were laughing and having so much fun. I thought about when I was a little girl with my little sister Ann. We had so much fun, didn't we Ann? For some reason I remember fall and playing outside until late evening and then coming in with red and cold hands and putting them down our Dad's neck or our Mom's. I remember playing on the trampoline, the tall yellow flowers in the yard, playing with the Peck's (our neighbors), doing the splits, checking on Grandma, picking an apple from her tree. It was fun being a little girl, and having a built in friend. I love you Ann thank you for the fun memories.

And this is my "Fonzie"! This is stepping out of the box for Derek, but I was glad that he wanted to do this. He is such a fun kid! He works so hard, he has a job working for Buck and Jean Smith. He also gets up at 5:30 almost every morning to go play basketball. Shea goes with him on a couple of the mornings and Derek wakes him up to go play. They are two peas in a pod. Sometimes when they are both outside and I look out and see them I have to look twice to see who is who.

HOMECOMING WEEK super fun! This was celebrity day. May I introduce you to "Audrey Hepburn!" I thought she looked so cute! She had a blast. The sad thing is she found out on this day that the volleyball team is scheduled to play in a tournament this weekend so they won't be able to go to homecoming. So that put a damper on the week. The good news is,the LADY LOBOS beat both Blue Ridge and Payson this week! I love watching Tiff play.

I don't really get into the whole political stuff that goes on so to do this on my blog is a bit stepping out of my box. But with the pass of the bailout bill it really scares me. I was scared before that too, but after watching the youtube film that I posted it really makes me wonder what will happen to the future of our country. Please watch it and send it to as many people as you can.
